Steve Yang interviews Darren Klinck, President & Director of Arras Minerals Corp., about the Elemes copper-gold program in northeastern Kazakhstan, 2018 mining-law reforms and the infrastructure and costs shaping the investment case.
The Elemes and Aimandai licences cover roughly 530 square kilometres within Arras Minerals’ broader 3,300-square-kilometre land package. Klinck says the company advanced from just over 4,000 metres of drilling to 10,000 metres in 2025, expanded to four rigs in 2026 and doubled this year’s plan to 40,000 metres. He expects cumulative 2024-2026 drilling to reach roughly 54,000 metres. He describes an early-stage, gold-rich copper-gold porphyry system with three porphyry centres—Berezski North, Berezski Central and Berezski East—across an approximately 10-kilometre mineralized geochemical envelope.
Klinck also reviews 145 million shares outstanding, no warrants, institutional ownership of about one-third, and management and board ownership of approximately 6%. He discusses the C$25 million bought-deal financing, C$27 million of cash and a runway he believes could extend toward the back end of 2027, depending on program scope.
