Dr. Paul West-Sells, Ph.D, President, CEO & Director of Bravada Gold Corporation, joins Steve Yang to discuss the 100%-owned Wind Mountain Gold-Silver Project in northern Nevada and the plan to advance the past-producing brownfield heap-leach operation toward a Pre-Feasibility Study.
Wind Mountain operated from 1989 to 1999 and retains paved road access, an existing power substation, legacy pits, haul roads and waste rock dumps. West-Sells explains why that existing footprint, conventional run-of-mine heap leaching and a very low strip ratio matter to the development thesis.
Bravada’s August 2026 PEA reports an after-tax NPV of US$415 million at a 5% discount rate, a 60% after-tax IRR, a 2.0-year payback and an 11.2-year mine life using base-case prices of US$3,600 gold and US$48 silver. The study outlines a 0.20:1 strip ratio and US$98.1 million of initial capital. It models average annual production of 40.7 koz gold and 280 koz silver.
The interview also covers Bravada’s 2026 drilling program, historical waste dumps, potential pit expansion, the Silver Vent target, metallurgical work, the PFS, permitting and upcoming technical catalysts. West-Sells discusses management alignment, his C$200,000 investment at C$0.70 per share, and the company’s treasury, warrants and funding runway.
