Coppernico receives expanded Sombrero drill-permit approval in Peru
Coppernico Metals (TSX: COPR; OTCQB: CPPMF; FSE: 9I3) said its Peruvian subsidiary received approval for an expanded Environmental Impact Assessment—Semi-detailed for the Sombrero Project. The expanded area includes targets such as Fierrazo, Corrales, Chumpi, Escondida, Huachana and Tipicancha.
The approval is a step in the permitting process, not authorization to begin drilling. Coppernico said it still requires a start-of-activities authorization from Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines before mobilization and drilling can commence.
These announcements highlight continued activity across precious metals, base metals, uranium and critical-minerals projects, but exploration results, feasibility studies, financings and planned production remain subject to technical, regulatory, market and funding conditions.
